AOL is launching its personalized magazine app for Android smartphones and tablets. Available as a free download, the application features AOL’s news, videos, trending stories and lifestyle information presented in an “engaging news stream” format.
Similarly to other personalized magazines, AOL’s app will also learn your preferences over time and suggest only the content you’re interested about. There’s the option to actively customize your top level news stream to see more or less of the stories and videos you want. And, of course, you can always share things you like via email, Facebook and Twitter.
In addition, tablet users will also get an optimized AOL Mail experience that takes advantage of the extra screen estate. From here, you can read and send emails, email your favorite stories to friends, and scan newsletters and programming alerts without going into a separate environment.
The AOL App for iPad is also available, and iPhone is coming very soon.
