The Apple iPhone 5S, next gen. iPhone from Apple is officially announced, and it has come with a lot of enhancements and upgrades from the iPhone 5 version which was the one launched last year, and the iOS 7 is what would be running in the new iPhone 5S. Apple has launched the iPhone 5S along with the budget Apple iPhone 5C, and it’s the iPhone 5S which is the true upgrade to the iPhone 5, which comes with the Slate, Gold and Silver colors and the slate is actually now called “Space Gray”.

The body is made by high-grade aluminum, with chamfered edges. The iPhone 5S is powered by the new system-on-a-chip called the A7 chip which is the first 64-bit chip in a smartphone, and currently with this, the iPhone 5S would be the only smartphone with a 64-bit chip running in it. There are over one billion transistors and 2x general purpose registers.
With this kept in mind, iOS 7 has been reengineered for the 64-bit chip and the apps too are 64-bit. This doesn’t mean the iPhone 5S won’t be supporting the older 32-bit apps. Similar to the new Nexus 7 from Samsung, the iPhone 5S would run OpenGL|ES 3.0, and the performance is twice to that of the earlier iPhone versions.
Along with the A7, there’s an M7 which is the motion co-processor included in the iPhone 5S which continuously measures the motion data with the Accelerometer, Gyroscope and compass and this opens up a wide area of innovation for the health and fitness apps.
The battery of the iPhone 5S comes with 3G talk time of 10 hours, or 10 Hours of LTE browsing, there is 250 hours of standby time, which certainly makes it better than the iPhone 5.

The new camera from Apple in the iPhone 5S is said to be made from a new, five-element Apple-designed lens and it has got a 15 percent larger active area on the sensor. Pixel count remains the same in the camera, but these pixels are made larger, with each pixel being 1.5 microns. Again, the iOS 7 software is designed already to take advantage of the new camera sensor.
The camera apps sets the white balance, exposure and creates a “dynamic local tone map,” “autofocus matrix metering” with 15 zones. This is all done automatically by the camera. Just to make the automation better, the camera takes multiple photos and selects the best one and removes the others.
True tone flash: The new flash for the iPhone 5S camera has 2 LEDs: one is cool and white, the other is warm and amber. Apple combines the two to get the right color balance.
The other features of the camera includes the Auto image stabilization, the new Burst mode with 10 frames per second, Slo-Mo video recording with 120 fps with the 720p quality. There’s a 28-megapixel panorama, with the auto adjust exposure so that while the frames keep changing, the light gets adjusted.

This was one of the recently leaked features which was almost confirmed, and yes the Touch ID feature reads your fingerprint and that is the most secure way of keeping your personal stuff saved. The Touch ID fingerprint sensor is capacitive, 170 microns thin, has a 500 ppi resolution, scans sub-epidermal skin layers, and has 360 degree readability. The Touch ID is built on the Home button, so you just need to touch the home button to unlock the screen. The same can be used to do the iTunes purchases in an easier way.
Another good thing about the Touch ID is that it can recognize multiple fingerprints, and the security is so high that the fingerprint data is not stored somewhere in the clouds or in the storage, but directly gets embedded in to the A7 chip of the iPhone 5S. This makes it inaccessible to any software.
