Is your camera stolen by someone? Find out who has stolen your camera using the web technology. Though it might not work in some situations where the stolen thief has some techno skills and has managed to change the EXIF data that is by default stored in a picture, but in most cases you can find it easily. The EXIF data originally contains a unique serial number which identifies your digital camera.
Stolen Camera Finder is a web application that does the magic. Simply input a picture taken by your digital camera (pic taken before the camera is lost). The tool will automatically check for the images online that contain the same serial number (which implies that the images are taken using your camera by the person who has stolen it).
You can also input your serial number (if you knew it) and search the database to find your camera. If you can’t find any results immediately, simply subscribe to the missing camera report so that you can receive an email notification once they succeeded to find any photo that contains your camera’s serial number.
You can alternatively use the Exif Viewer to check your serial number.
Find Stolen Digital Camera
Note: This is possible only in cases where the person who stole your camera has used to the Internet and uploaded the photos to his/her online profiles (Flickr, Blog, etc…)
